Job Summary:This is a 12-month part-time contract working Monday to Friday. As a community post, you will be required to have a car and business insurance. You will be responsible for assessing and monitoring patients, providing expert care and support, and working closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess and monitor patients receiving hospital at home care
- Provide expert care and support to patients with lung conditions
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery
- Support and supervise junior staff, students, and assistants
- Develop and maintain knowledge of COPD NICE Guidelines, COPD GOLD Guidelines, and BTS Bronchiectasis Guidelines
- Diploma/degree in adult nursing
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
- Good standard of general education, including GCSE maths and English grade C and above
- Evidence of CPD, including recent post-graduate training relevant to clinical specialty
- Car driver for community visits
- Post-registration respiratory nursing qualification (COPD or Asthma diploma)
- Knowledge of COPD NICE Guidelines, COPD GOLD Guidelines, and BTS Bronchiectasis Guidelines
