Job Title: Cleaning/Waste Operative

Location: Dartford

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off

Hours: 19:00pm-07:00am

Rate of Pay: £ per hour

ABM Facility Services UK is seeking a skilled Cleaning/Waste Operative to join our team in Dartford. As a key member of our janitorial and waste removal team, you will be responsible for providing a high level of service in a fast-paced environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Carry out janitorial duties effectively and efficiently in a warehouse environment.
  • Provide a high level of service in welfare areas, social areas, and production areas.
  • Handle waste generated on site via approved waste streams and ensure it is ready for transportation.
  • Operate cleaning equipment, including walk-behind and ride-on sweepers and scrubber-dryers.
  • Respond to spillages and callouts from the client's on-site team.
  • Communicate effectively with your team and line manager.
  • Wear protective clothing (PPE) and comply with Health & Safety legislation and policies.
  • Work independently and as part of a team, exhibiting great communication skills.
  • Undergo full training on cleaning methods and equipment.

Requirements:

  • Satisfactory response from Disclosure Board at a basic level and knowledge of health and safety requirements.
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods or a willingness to learn.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to a busy operational environment.
  • Reliable and flexible approach to work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
