About the Job
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team in delivering critical automation projects within the automotive industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with multi-functional teams.
Your Key Responsibilities
As a Project Engineer, you will support the Project Lead in the delivery of each project, ensuring that all technical contractual requirements are met, plans are followed, and customer expectations are exceeded.
You will be responsible for managing cost, contract, schedule, and technical performance across the program lifecycle, paying close attention to contract requirements, coordinating internal teams and supplier capacity, reviewing performance variances, and assessing impacts on overall programme performance.
You will track technical, schedule, and cost performance measures (TPMs, SPMs, and CPMs) to assess engineering performance against the contract and uphold effective change management to prevent deviation from the original scope and ensure the contractual change process is followed.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer who has successfully delivered projects or task work packages, ideally in the Automotive sector but also open to candidates from other engineering/manufacturing/automation backgrounds.
You should possess excellent communication skills, able to motivate multi-functional teams to meet deadlines and keep customers updated on progress.
A problem solver at heart, you will be able to keep projects on track, mitigate any issues causing delays, and maintain a full, clean UK driving license to travel to customer sites as required.
What We Offer
We offer a competitive salary range of £35,000 - £50,000 depending on experience, paid overtime over 40 hours per week, and the opportunity to earn significant increments up to 50% of your salary.
Our benefits package includes a pension scheme with employer contribution matching up to 8%, private medical insurance, life assurance, and flexible benefits such as dental insurance, gym membership, and shopping discounts.
Location
This role is based near Halewood, with regular travel to customer sites required.
