About the Role

Ramsden Hall Academy is a residential special school for boys aged 10 to 16 who have an EHCP for Social, Emotional and Mental Health. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Residential Night Awake Worker to join our residential team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with evening duty staff to ensure a smooth transition to night awake shifts
  • Provide reassurance and settle any children who wake during the night
  • Complete light household duties, such as washing and ironing, cleaning fridges, and tidying
  • Update photos and displays, risk assessments, and placement plans
  • Interact with children as part of a team and help with their morning routine
Requirements
  • Proven experience of working with children and young people with SEMH
  • Ability to use MS Word and Excel and Email or willingness to learn
  • NVQ Level 3 in Child/Young Persons Care, or equivalent, is strongly desirable
  • Driving licence qualifications to drive a D1 mini bus is desirable
  • Ability to work as part of a highly effective team
  • Enthusiastic, reliable, and committed
  • Ability to manage confidential data in a professional and sensitive way
