About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Tax Assistant Manager to join our Private Client Tax department in London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of private clients, including individuals and businesses, and providing tax advice and guidance to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of private clients, including individuals and businesses, and provide tax advice and guidance to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Oversee and review the work of junior team members to ensure high-quality tax advice and guidance is provided to clients.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients to understand their tax needs and provide tailored tax advice and guidance.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations and ensure that clients are aware of any changes that may affect them.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure that tax advice and guidance is consistent and of high quality.

Requirements:

  • Experience in tax advisory and compliance, preferably in a private client tax environment.
  • Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations, including self-assessment, capital gains tax, and inheritance tax.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Professional qualifications in tax, such as ATT or CTA, and a strong understanding of tax planning and advisory services.
