About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Engineer to join our team at Assystem, a leading international company accelerating the energy transition. As a Senior Process Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design development of Turbine Island projects, working closely with multi-disciplined teams and the supply chain to deliver high-quality designs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design Development: Develop and review Process Flow Diagrams, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, Layout Drawings, Component Sizing Calculations, Component and Equipment Datasheets, and Specifications.
  • Optioneering Studies: Develop and review optioneering studies or decision record files, design descriptions, requirement specifications, and other design development activities.
  • Systems Engineering: Apply Systems Engineering principles, including development and review of Functional and Design Requirements.
  • Integration: Integrate Turbine Island design into wider power plant projects.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and act as a point of contact for Turbine Island interface and stakeholder activities.
  • Design Reviews: Attend and support Design Reviews and HAZID/HAZOP studies with multidiscipline teams.
  • Interface Activities: Liaise with the project safety team on nuclear safety licensing, environmental planning, and other interface activities relevant to the Turbine Island scope.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to company statutory H&S Policies and rules and compliance with the project and Quality Management System.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience in the nuclear sector or other highly regulated industries such as thermal power generation or oil and gas and process sectors.
  • Background: Strong technical background and broad experience in thermal power or similar projects.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders, and ability to identify and manage critical interfaces on major projects.
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma in an engineering discipline, CEng in a relevant discipline, and SC Clearance or capable of achieving it.
