Inclusive Learning Lead Opportunity

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced SENCO teacher to lead our inclusive learning initiatives in Norfolk. As a key figure in the school community, you will be instrumental in creating a positive and supportive learning environment for students with diverse needs.

About the Job:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to promote inclusion and diversity within the school. This includes determining the strategic development of SEN policy and provision, coordinating specific provision to support individual pupils, and providing professional guidance to colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine the strategic development of special educational needs (SEN) policy and provision in the school.
  • Be responsible for day-to-day operation of the SEN policy and co-ordination of specific provision to support individual pupils with SEN or a disability.
  • Provide professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff, parents, and other agencies.
  • Fulfil the responsibilities of a teacher.
  • Identify resources needed to meet the needs of pupils with SEN and advise the head teacher of priorities.
  • Develop and maintain contact with all specialist support services as appropriate.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will require a PGCE, QTS, or equivalent teaching qualification and evidence of in-service training. SENCO qualifications are preferred, or experience in a special school with a willingness to undertake SENCO qualification.

Salary and Benefits:
