Job Description

As a Care Specialist Advisor, you will work with young refugees and asylum seekers who are living in supported housing.

You will develop person-centred support plans and provide advice on housing, employment, education, independent living, and any benefits and services they are entitled to.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records and case files
  • Conduct community outreach activities

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people in a support service setting
  • A commitment to helping young people and adults gain life skills and live independently
  • Experience of providing advice, guidance, advocacy, and culturally sensitive support
  • An understanding of the impact of trauma on wellbeing and behaviour
  • Experience creating support plans, needs assessments, and risk assessments
  • The ability to manage and review caseloads, needs, and risks effectively
  • Strong organisational and planning skills

Salary: £26,003 per annum (pro rata)
