Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Specialty Doctor to join our multidisciplinary team at the Treatment Ward in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust. This fixed-term 6-month post offers a unique opportunity to work alongside a substantive full-time Consultant Psychiatrist and contribute to the delivery of high-quality care to patients admitted to the unit.

About the Role
  • Assess newly admitted patients for their physical and mental health needs, including risk assessment and management.
  • Liaise with other healthcare professionals and voluntary sector agencies to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Provide medical input to the patients on the Treatment Ward, working closely with the Consultant Psychiatrist.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Full GMC registration and licence to practice
  • MBBS or equivalent qualification
  • Eligibility for approval under Section 12 of the MHA 1983
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £85,000 - £115,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including access to ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
