Job Title: Healthcare Administration Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our ENT Management Team as a Healthcare Administration Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, supporting the expansion plan for the EMPCC at Leicester General Hospital site.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage the administration teams, ensuring efficient practices and a motivated workforce.
  • Close supervision and monitoring of the waiting list to ensure compliance with local, regional, and national targets, policies, and initiatives.
  • Coordinate admin team workloads to ensure delivery to agreed standards and maximise productivity of staff.
  • Assist in the recruitment and selection of staff, providing thorough induction and training.
  • Support the Service Manager/General Manager in the investigation and resolution of verbal and written complaints.

Person Specification:

  • Essential:
    • Training and relevant experience to GCSE level or equivalent.
    • NVQ level 3 or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • Desirable:
    • Management qualification or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • Essential:
    • Minimum of 2 years' experience of working within the NHS at junior management level.
    • Minimum of 3 years administration experience.
    • Direct line management of non-clinical staff.
  • Desirable:
    • Evidence of managing complex change in a healthcare environment.

Communication and Relationship Skills:

  • Essential:
    • Ability to motivate and enthuse others.
  • Desirable:
    • Exposure to dealing with complaints.

Analytical and Judgement Skills:

  • Essential:
    • Ability to read, interpret, and implement complex policies relating to developments within the NHS at local/national level.
    • Ability to prioritise conflicting demands on resources to deliver challenging targets and meet deadlines.

Physical Skills:

  • Essential:
    • Requires cross-site meetings and management of teams.

Planning and Organisation Skills:

  • Essential:
    • Planning and Organisation skills with the ability to prioritise schedules and workloads.
