We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Research Assistant to join our team in the School of Health in Social Science. The successful candidate will have a strong interest and background in the applied psychology of mental health, with a focus on psychosis and severe mental health problems.
The Opportunity:
The Research Assistant will be responsible for recruitment and assessment of participants in the CONNECT study, a multi-site Wellcome Trust funded project that aims to identify relapse signatures using active and passive digital monitoring and data collection methods. The post-holder will work closely with the Manchester Research Co-ordinator, the study Project Manager and the project team.
Your skills and attributes for success:
Up-to-date theoretical and practical knowledge in working with people with severe mental health problems, particularly those who experience psychosis.
Experience of using psychological self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with people with severe mental health problems.
Experience working with people with severe mental health problems in an NHS context.
Proven ability to use initiative to efficiently plan, optimise and progress project and communicate findings.
