Research Assistant in Bioengineering Position

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant to join our team at the University of Edinburgh's Institute for Bioengineering. The successful candidate will contribute to the CLEAR-VUE project, examining the effects of ophthalmic viscosurgical devices on human corneal endothelial cell health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of research protocols
- Conduct experiments and data analysis
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary academic teams and stakeholders
- Contribute to the preparation of research reports and publications
Requirements:
- Experience in mammalian cell culture
- Understanding of human primary cell isolation and culture
- Wet lab/Interdisciplinary lab experience including cell analysis techniques such as fluorescence microscopy
- Excellent academic record, work ethic, organizational and oral/written communication skills
