Job Title: Respiratory Medicine Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Medicine Nurse to join our team at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients with complex respiratory conditions, including COPD, Asthma, and pleural effusions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will be expected to rotate from day to night duty and will be involved in medication delivery, planning, and evaluating care.

Main Duties:

  • Deliver holistic care to patients with acute and chronic respiratory illnesses
  • Manage medication delivery, including intravenous fluids
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate care
  • Support patients through cancer diagnosis and manage symptoms
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care

Person Specification:

  • Registered Nurse, current NMC registration
  • Diploma in Nursing
  • Post-registration experience and successful completion of band 5 foundation gateway competencies
  • Experience within a relevant clinical setting
  • Evidence of maintaining a clinical learning environment
  • Evidence of working with students
  • Recent acute hospital experience
