Job Title: Health and Environmental Manager Position

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Environmental Manager to join our team at Hunter Selection Limited. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for establishing and implementing health and safety policies and procedures to maintain high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishing and implementing health and safety policies and procedures to maintain high standards.
  • Ensuring that health and safety strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives.
  • Establishing long-term health and safety initiatives, driving a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Monitoring industry trends and health and safety legislation changes, advising management on necessary adjustments to policies and procedures.
  • Preparing and submitting audit reports when required.
  • Conducting regular risk assessments and spot-check audits to identify potential hazards and recommended corrective actions.
  • Providing expert advice on health and safety-related issues, acting as the primary point of contact relating to health and safety matters.
  • Analyzing data and utilizing KPIs to identify improvements in all areas relating to health and safety.
  • Recommending preventative and implementing corrective actions and monitoring the effectiveness of improvements.

Requirements:

  • Degree or similar qualification (or qualified by experience).
  • Minimum 3 years in the manufacturing industry.
  • Minimum 5 years in HSE-related activities in a development and/or production environment.
  • Application of QMS tools and techniques.
  • Understanding or experience within chemical engineering/chemistry would be advantageous.
  • ISO 14000, ISO 9001, ISO 45001.
