Job Opportunity

Walker Cole International is seeking a seasoned Manufacturing Director to lead a biopharmaceutical Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) in the UK. As the Manufacturing Director, you will oversee the execution of GMP manufacturing activities, drive operational excellence, and foster a culture of industry-leading management capability.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Manage, develop, and mentor a team of Production Managers and Operational Leaders to ensure seamless execution of manufacturing activities.
  • Site Transformation: Drive site transformation projects, including process improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives, to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Technology Transfer: Oversee technology transfers from Research and Development and ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Quality, Engineering, and Process Development teams to build strong relationships and drive business outcomes.

Requirements for Success:

  • Minimum of 10+ years of GMP manufacturing experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven work experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing management or leadership roles.
  • Expert understanding of industry best practices within GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Previous experience with biologic or ATMP products is highly desirable.
