The Nationalmuseums seek a skilled Programme Director to oversee their supporter engagement and events programme. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a real impact through events.

About the role:

  1. To develop and implement a strategy for supporter engagement and events that aligns with the Nationalmuseums' goals.
  2. To design and deliver an annual calendar of engaging events for Supporters and Members, making best use of resources to ensure they feel valued.
  3. To work closely with the Advancement team to plan and execute on-site events for Patrons and other supporters, including drop-in talks, tours and exhibition-related events.
  4. To support the Membership and Supporter Engagement Team in designing a campaign of communications to promote events.
  5. To liaise with other departments to identify opportunities and collaborations, as well as avoiding overlap of event content and pressure on space.

Requirements:

  1. Degree or equivalent experience
  2. Previous experience managing both large and small events that would include experience of following relevant legislation and health and safety guidance
  3. Highly organised and creative, with excellent planning skills and strong understanding of event design, development, delivery and review
  4. Confident user of software packages such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  5. Flexible, proactive and a good negotiator

Remuneration and Benefits:

£36,448.65 per annum (including 5% responsibility allowance) plus a competitive benefits package including annual leave, pension scheme, museum entry and more.
