About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Chassis Engineer to join our Engineering team at Forseven. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and refining the chassis and joints systems for our electric vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Deliver Ownership of Chassis Fasteners: Develop and implement design solutions for chassis fasteners, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety and performance.
  • Support Design and Development (D&D) Targets: Collaborate with the engineering team to meet targets in terms of joint assessment based on hardpoints loads, preload and slip calculations, strength and factor of safety assessment, and packaging.
  • Expertise in Chassis Suspension Systems Joints: Leverage your experience in designing and developing chassis suspension systems joints with various interfaces.
  • Define Product Technical Specifications: Develop product technical specifications that meet vehicle system, manufacturing, service, and quality targets.
  • Define Design Verification Plans (DVP): Develop DVPs to support track and rig tests, ensuring the design meets the required standards.
  • Define CAE and Durability Boundary Conditions and Targets: Establish CAE and durability boundary conditions and targets to ensure the design meets the required standards.
  • Monitor Engineering Completion: Track and monitor the completion of engineering tasks, including DFMEA progress, part releases, and DVP status.
About You
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Proven experience in chassis and joints design for automotive applications.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of engineering principles related to structural analysis and system integration, proficient in using CAD software for designing and modeling chassis and joints systems, and experience in conducting advanced engineering analysis, such as finite element analysis.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
