Job Description

Lighthouse Games is a renowned AAA game development studio based in Leamington Spa. Our team comprises talented individuals driven by a passion for creating exceptional gaming experiences.

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team and contribute to the delivery of our upcoming AAA title. As a key member of our quality assurance process, you will work closely with our development team to ensure that all features meet the highest standards of quality before release.

Your primary goal will be to identify bugs and issues early in the development cycle, empowering our team to deliver a polished final product. You will collaborate with developers to gather requirements and understand the features being developed, create and execute test plans, and participate in regular testing and debugging tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Test Planning and Execution: Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and automated tests to ensure thorough coverage of our game's features and functionality.
  • Bug Identification and Tracking: Identify, document, and track defects using our bug tracking tools to ensure timely resolution and high-quality software delivery.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with our development team to gather requirements, provide feedback, and contribute to quality discussions.
  • Staying Up-to-Date: Stay current with the latest testing frameworks and methodologies to contribute effectively to our team.
Requirements
  • Quality Assurance Experience: Proven experience in Quality Assurance or testing roles within game development.
  • Testing Methodologies: Familiarity with testing methodologies and best practices.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in bug tracking tools and test case management software, with a basic understanding of programming and scripting languages, particularly C++.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
