Quantity Surveyor/Estimator – Fit Out

Location: Office based role with occasional site visit

Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 + £6,000 Car Allowance, Holidays, Pension, and Performance-Based Bonus

Our client is a leading hospitality and leisure fit-out company specialising in fast-track projects. With project values ranging from £100,000 to £1 million, they deliver quality fit-outs on tight timelines, enhancing the UK's dining and entertainment spaces. We are looking for a dynamic Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join the team and help drive their projects to success.

Role Overview:

As a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator, you will be responsible for managing tenders and delivering accurate cost estimates for the fast-track pub and restaurant fit-outs. Working closely with the project team, you will ensure that projects are commercially viable and delivered on budget. Your ability to work in a fast-paced environment, coupled with strong commercial acumen and a 'can-do' attitude, will be key to your success in this role.

  1. Preparing and submitting competitive tenders for hospitality and leisure fit-out projects
  2. Estimating costs for projects ranging from £100,000 to £1 million
  3. Managing all aspects of cost control and contract administration
  4. Evaluating subcontractor quotes and negotiating favourable terms
  5. Liaising with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure effective communication and smooth project delivery
  6. Supporting the commercial team with project forecasts and reporting

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator in the construction industry, ideally with experience in fast-track fit-outs
  2. Familiarity with pub and restaurant fit-out projects is a strong advantage
  3. Excellent commercial acumen and a keen eye for detail
  4. Dynamic, enthusiastic, and proactive attitude with a 'can-do' mindset
  5. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines
  6. Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or a related field
