Quantity Surveyor Role

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our client, a leading Modular Building Specialist in West Yorkshire. As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of construction projects throughout the full lifecycle, including finances and contractual relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Pre-Contract
  • Chair Cost Review Meetings to ensure accurate project valuations
  • Drive Subcontract Enquiry & Commitment ITT to secure best value for the company
  • Chair Subcontract Document Review to ensure compliance with company standards
Projects/Construction
  • Review Project Valuations & Applications to ensure timely payment
  • Review and Assess Subcontract Valuations to identify areas for improvement
  • Maintain Company Internal and External Change Management to minimize disruptions
  • Client Commercial Review and Analysis to ensure commercial success
  • Post Contract Subcontractor Procurement, Contract & Commercial Management to ensure smooth project delivery
Quantity Surveyor
  • Conduct Bid Review Meetings to assess risk and opportunities
  • Lead Contract Review to ensure compliance with company standards
  • Tender Document Review to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Leadership of the commercial process from bid to construction completion to ensure commercial success
  • Subcontractor Procurement, Document Amendments & Review to ensure best value for the company
  • Reviewing and Develop Operational Processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Maintain and Progress Project Financial Reporting to the Business to ensure transparency and accountability
  • Team Commercial Dispute Resolution Lead to resolve commercial disputes
  • Manage Assistant QS's to ensure effective team management
Requirements:
  1. Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent construction degree
  2. Membership of RICS or working towards
  3. Full UK Driving Licence
  4. Minimum 5 years Construction experience
  5. Proven track record of successful multi-project delivery
