About Our Client:

A leading company in the personal care sector seeks an experienced Sales Director to develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy, leveraging key accounts and identifying new business opportunities to achieve growth targets within the personal care category.

Job Description:

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive growth and increase market share in the UK personal care market.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with top 4 grocery multiples, discounters, and drug store chains to ensure optimal sales performance.
  • Cultivate new business opportunities through market analysis and competitor research.
  • Lead and manage a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, development, and performance management to achieve team goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales objectives with business priorities.
  • Monitor and analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis for senior leadership.
  • Support long-term strategic planning, contributing insights and recommendations for business growth and development.

The Successful Applicant:

  • Proven experience in sales, specifically within the personal or home care products industry.
  • Strong track record of selling into top 4 UK grocery multiples, discounters, and drug store chains.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with ability to build, inspire, and lead high-performing teams.
  • A strategic thinker with hands-on approach, capable of managing day-to-day operations while driving long-term growth.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience in managing P&L and understanding of commercial aspects of business operations.
  • Ability to adapt in fast-paced and evolving business environment.

Competitive Remuneration Package:

Estimated salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum. A competitive basic salary, performance bonus, and car package are included in the remuneration package.
