Job Description

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide specialist support services for people referred to the lung cancer service, offering information, education, and psychological support at various stages of their disease. They will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care and support.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist nursing support to newly diagnosed lung cancer patients, including assessments and ongoing care coordination.
  • Liaise with community services, GPs, district nurses, palliative care teams, hospices, and social services to ensure seamless patient care transitions.
  • Maintain accurate records and participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experiences.
