Job Description

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the facilities management team at Active Dorset, ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities in Weymouth and Bournemouth. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality community projects focused on increasing participation in sport and physical activity.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the facilities management team to deliver excellent customer service and ensure the highest standards of facility maintenance and upkeep.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase participation in sport and physical activity, working closely with local partners and stakeholders.
  • Manage facility bookings and events, ensuring efficient use of resources and effective communication with users.
  • Contribute to the development of equality and diversity action plans, demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Degree-level qualification or relevant experience in sports management, facility operations, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in leadership and management, with a track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Sound knowledge of IT systems, including Microsoft Office and databases.
  • Able to travel between sites (Bournemouth and Weymouth) on a frequent basis, with access to a car and full driving licence.

Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, dependent on experience, plus benefits including company pension, 23 days holiday (pro rata) per year, agile and flexible working, and enhanced maternity/paternity and sick leave policies.

Location:

This role is based in Weymouth and Bournemouth, with some flexibility around evening and weekend working required.
