About the Role: We are currently seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of our client schools in Margate. The successful candidate will have a strong background in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and be able to provide tailored assistance to students with diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing experienced 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
  • Assisting the class teacher in planning, delivering, and adapting educational activities for pupils with complex needs.
  • Implementing behaviour management strategies effectively and confidently handling challenging behaviour.
  • Supporting students' emotional, social, and academic progress through positive reinforcement and customised support plans.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience working with children with SEN in a school setting.
  • Strong understanding of SEN support strategies, particularly with children on the autism spectrum or with behavioural needs.
  • Immediate availability to start.
