Job Title: Transport Supervisor

Uniserve, a leading logistics and freight forwarding company, is seeking a skilled Transport Supervisor to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the activities of our transport fleet, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and approve efficient transport routes that comply with regulations (WTD & drivers' hours).
  • Delegate tasks effectively and provide clear instructions to drivers.
  • Develop cost-effective transport plans using customer IT software.
  • Support the Transport Planning Manager in driving departmental success.
  • Monitor transport management software and ensure departmental efficiency.
  • Liaise with depots, customers, and sales teams to resolve delivery issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Uphold health & safety regulations within the department.
  • Bridge the gap between sales and operations, fostering a seamless customer experience.

Requirements:

  • Experience in transport planning.
  • Knowledge of transport legislation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Experience with transport management systems.
  • A keen eye for detail.
  • Team leadership experience.
  • A self-motivated and proactive approach.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and achieve targets.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Collaborative spirit.
