Role Overview
As a Tax Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all tax-related functions within the organization. This includes managing tax policies, ensuring adherence to relevant legislation, and playing a pivotal role in tax strategy development. You will collaborate closely with the finance team to uphold tax compliance and deliver expert guidance to various stakeholders.
- Supervise corporation tax compliance
- Oversee VAT compliance
- Identify opportunities for R&D tax relief
- Engage in tax strategy planning
- Keep abreast of tax legislation changes
- Offer tax-related advice to stakeholders
- Foster relationships with external advisors
- Support tax provisions for financial reporting
Required Qualifications
Essential Criteria
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and/or tax certification (CTA) is preferred
- Demonstrated experience in a tax role within the financial services sector
- In-depth knowledge of corporation tax, VAT, and R&D tax relief
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized with a keen attention to detail
- Proficient in tax software and the MS Office suite
