Maritime Infrastructure Specialist

The RNLI is seeking a skilled Maritime Infrastructure Specialist to join its Estates Team in the North East of England. This role plays a crucial part in supporting the organisation's lifesaving service by managing the safe, efficient, and effective maintenance of buildings and infrastructure along the coastline.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to utilise their skills and knowledge in building maintenance and construction works to contribute to the organisation's mission of reducing drowning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage operational portfolios of buildings and infrastructure along the coastline
- Accurately assess condition, specify, and procure planned and emergency works
- Monitor contractor performance against safety, quality, and cost criteria
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Extensive practical experience of managing building maintenance & construction works at a professional level, ideally in a maritime environment
- Education to HNC level or equivalent in Building Construction or Civil Engineering or equivalent experience
- Commercial and financial acumen, excellent IT and communication skills
About the Role:
This is a challenging yet rewarding position that requires the ability to work effectively at both strategic and operational levels. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, organised, and possess a thorough understanding of current maintenance procedures and an embedded attitude towards Health and Safety practices and regulations.
Salary: £42,000 - £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
