**Job Summary:**

We're seeking a highly skilled Mechatronics Systems Specialist to join our Defence Business Unit.

The successful candidate will work closely with customers and machine learning experts to solve technical challenges in the development and operation of edge hardware.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing, developing, testing, and troubleshooting mechatronics systems.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate ML capabilities into robotic systems.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key customers and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Mechanical Engineering experience including a solid understanding of mechanical systems, kinematics, and dynamics.
  • Electrical Engineering experience including circuit design, sensors, microcontrollers/embedded systems, and power electronics fundamentals.
  • Practical exposure to designing, developing, testing, and troubleshooting mechatronics systems.
  • Proven industry experience working with mechatronics technology, such as: mechanical & electrical integration, machine vision, programming, and route planning.
  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in robotics applications, such as C/C++, Python, ROS, or Lua.
  • Exposure to working with non-internet connected hardware and software, including embedded systems and real-time processing.

Salary:** £85,000 - £110,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
