Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at our outstanding schools in Bristol. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to achieve their full potential.

About the Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be responsible for providing one-to-one and small group support to students with SEND. You will implement effective behavior management strategies to create a positive learning environment and demonstrate excellent use of initiative to adapt support techniques to meet individual student needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEND
  • Implement effective behavior management strategies to create a positive learning environment
  • Demonstrate excellent use of initiative to adapt support techniques to meet individual student needs
  • Foster a supportive atmosphere that encourages student engagement and confidence
  • Understand and accommodate different children's needs and learning styles
Requirements:
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to get one
  • Experience working with children or young people with additional care needs
  • 2 recent professional references
  • Ability to communicate with and inspire children
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting child welfare
  • Previous experience working with SEND students is essential
  • A good sense of humor and a positive attitude towards supporting students
  • Demonstrated ability in behavior management strategies
  • Excellent use of initiative to adapt support techniques
  • Understanding of different children's needs and learning styles
