About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Chartway Civil Engineering. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for leading and developing our surveyors to meet targets and achieve success.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will have a thorough understanding of estimating and surveying, and a specific and in-depth knowledge of JCT/NEC Contracts. You will be responsible for implementing commercial strategies that reflect the objectives and priorities of the company, maximising opportunities for profit, revenue generation and sustainable growth.

You will be tasked with setting, managing and monitoring financial targets and budget development, as well as monitoring subcontractor and supplier performance against programmes and forecasts.

You will also be responsible for Construction Surveying duties including budget preparation, cost to completes, authorisation of subcontractor procurement, payments and claims, and advise the wider team on Technical Solutions, assist the technical team with cost at design stage.

You will be able to utilise your first-rate communication and organisational skills, and your ability to understand and manipulate complex financial models will ensure you are successful in this role.

You'll come from a similar position preferably with previous Civil Engineering experience, with a thorough understanding of Estimating & Surveying, and a specific and in-depth knowledge of JCT/NEC Contracts.
