Senior Quantity Surveyor - High-Rise Construction

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team at Kenton Black, a leading construction and development company specializing in high-rise projects across the UK.

Job Description:

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in our projects, overseeing cost management and procurement processes for high-rise developments. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the cost aspects of high-rise construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and provide cost estimates.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Monitor and control project costs against budgets.
  • Provide financial reports and updates to senior management.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to optimize project outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally with a focus on high-rise construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost control.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Membership or working towards membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS).
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
