About the Role

Aldwych Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Senior Transport Planner to join our team in Cambridge. As a Senior Transport Planner, you will be responsible for leading and managing small to medium-sized projects, working closely with clients and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement transportation plans and strategies for clients, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and sustainable development principles.
  • Manage and coordinate project teams, including junior staff, to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, including transport assessments, statements, and travel plans, to clients and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to identify project requirements and develop project plans.
  • Conduct site visits and attend public consultation events to gather information and engage with stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, internal stakeholders, and external partners to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve project delivery and client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Degree-level qualification in a relevant field, such as transportation planning, civil engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Membership of a relevant professional organization, such as the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT) or the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE).
  • At least 4 years of experience in transportation planning, with a strong understanding of transportation planning principles and practices.
  • Proficient in the use of transportation planning software, including Arcady and Picady.
