Senior Transport Planner Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Transport Planner to join our team in Cambridge. As a Senior Transport Planner, you will be responsible for engaging in all aspects of transport planning, traffic, and transportation engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare Transport Assessments for new developments and provide advice on the transport aspects of development master planning.
  • Manage smaller individual projects and provide professional and technical support to directors engaged in larger projects.
  • Analyse data from various Transportation software packages and provide insights to inform project decisions.
  • Attend meetings, presentations, public consultation events, and undertake site visits to gather information and provide input to projects.
Client Base:

Our consultancy primarily serves private sector clients, working on a variety of projects including medium to large warehouses, residential developments, commercial developments, food retailers, and leisure projects.

Requirements:
  • Understanding of and experience working in the Planning Regulatory framework, and knowledge of planning and transport policy as applied to development.
  • Sound technical experience, including familiarity with relevant software and a working knowledge of the relevant highway standards.
  • Proven track record in transport planning solutions for both public and private sectors.
