Job Title: Conveyancing Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Conveyancing Assistant to join our team at Davies and Partners Solicitors. As a key member of our conveyancing department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of residential property transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with issuing quotes and onboarding clients
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients, developers, and brokers
  • Update developer spreadsheets and work lists on OneDrive
  • Check client documentation and identify necessary procedures
  • Obtain satisfactory evidence of funds and conduct Money Laundering ID checks
  • Request payment on account from clients
  • Check draft Contract documentation and arrange Search Insurance
  • Send standard correspondence to clients and draft Stamp Duty Land Tax forms
  • Provide completion statements and submit SDLT to HMRC
Requirements:
  • GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English
  • A Law Degree is not required, but awareness of compliance and processes within residential conveyancing is beneficial
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and completing administrative tasks
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain client confidentiality
  • Competence in the effective use of ICT and ability to prioritize tasks
