About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Team Leader to join our team at Anchor. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality catering service to our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deputise for the Chef Manager and manage all aspects of catering, ensuring a seamless service delivery.
  • Supervise catering assistants on shift, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent service standards.
  • Maintain compliance with food safety and health & safety procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.
  • Minimise waste and ensure efficient use of equipment, promoting sustainability and reducing costs.

Requirements

  • Intermediate or level 3 food hygiene certificate with Cater craft or similar award.
  • Health & safety legislation knowledge, including COSHH and food safety standards.
  • Proven chef and people management experience, with a track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Basic knowledge of dietary requirements for older people, with a focus on providing tailored meals.
  • Safe use of kitchen equipment, including knives, with a focus on efficiency and safety.

  • Able to negotiate, influence, and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Flexible and innovative, with a focus on delivering high-quality results in a pressured environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and residents.
