We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at Woodlands Care Home in Aberdeen. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their health, happiness, and dignity are prioritized every day.

About the Role

This is a full-time position, working day shifts, with a competitive salary of £12.10 per hour. As a Care Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting residents with their daily routines, promoting independence, and providing personalized care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Empower residents to make positive choices and remain as independent as possible.
  • Follow and support each resident's personalized care plan, providing hands-on help and thoughtful attention to their individual needs.
  • Keep a close eye on residents' health, communicating any concerns to the Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager, and helping with calls to relatives or healthcare professionals.
  • Uphold the dignity and respect of each resident, ensuring they feel valued and cared for in every interaction.
  • Encourage social interactions among residents and with staff, creating a warm and welcoming environment.
  • Work with housekeepers to maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces, and respond quickly to emergencies or call bells.
  • Assist residents who need extra help with eating and drinking, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.
  • Bring joy to our residents' lives and make them smile every day.
Requirements
  • SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is preferred.
  • At least 6 months of experience as a Care Assistant, but we welcome those with a passion for care and transferable skills.
  • Genuine interest in caring for the elderly and commitment to delivering excellent service.
  • Integrity, respect, and a strong sense of teamwork.
