About the Role

As an On-Call Firefighter with Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service, you will play a vital role in providing emergency response cover to the community of Staffordshire. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives and be part of a dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide emergency response cover from your home or work base, responding to incidents in a timely and effective manner.
  • Attend weekly drill nights to maintain your skills and participate in training opportunities throughout the year.
  • Contribute to community fire safety initiatives, including safe & well visits and school visits.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve common goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Have a genuine desire to support your local community and make a positive impact.
  • Be enthusiastic and willing to work in a team environment, with a strong focus on communication and collaboration.
  • Have a good level of physical fitness and be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Be willing to work nights, evenings, weekends, and public holidays, including Christmas and New Year.
