We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Reliability Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform proactive and preventative maintenance tasks on a wide range of site equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Carry out reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in a live distribution warehouse environment, using advanced tools and techniques to maximize equipment effectiveness.
- Uphold all health and safety policies and practices, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Support the development and progression of on-site apprentices, providing guidance and mentorship to help them grow in their roles.
- Work on continuous improvement projects, identifying opportunities to enhance processes and implement best practices across multiple EU sites.
As a Reliability Maintenance Engineer, you will be based on-site, responding quickly to any machinery issues that arise. Your day will be filled with a range of planned preventative maintenance tasks, as well as responding to breakdowns and implementing solutions to get equipment back up and running as soon as possible.
You will work closely with senior colleagues to undertake day-to-day maintenance tasks, such as painting and plumbing, and will liaise with contractors as needed to access external expertise. You will work on a range of shifts to ensure our sites are supported around the clock, allowing Amazon to deliver at the speed we're known for.
About the TeamOur Reliability Maintenance Engineering team is a technically-minded group of excellent team players, guided by experienced leaders. We work together to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment across our global network of fulfillment centers.
We handle a wide range of tasks, from installing automated packaging systems to overseeing the general maintenance of a site, and repairing key distribution equipment. We are a dynamic team with opportunities for progression, both within the RME team and more widely across Amazon.
Requirements- Served a full Engineering indentured apprenticeship and/or qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant Engineering subject.
- Relevant experience as a qualified engineer, with a strong background in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance.
- Advanced proficiency in the local language verbally and in writing.
- Apprentice Trained, HNC, HND, BSc, BEng.
- Experience in condition-based monitoring.
- Experience working with print and apply machines.
- Experience in fault-finding and maintaining conveyor or automation systems.
