About Us: Underfall Yard Trust is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the site's rich history and industrial heritage. As a volunteer, you will contribute to our mission by sharing your skills and experience with the community.
Responsibilities:
- • Engage visitors and online audiences through social media platforms
• Collaborate with the Community, Learning and Volunteer Manager to develop content strategies
• Develop a deeper understanding of the site's history, atmosphere, and significance
• Foster a sense of community among volunteers, staff, and visitors
Benefits: As a Maritime Site Ambassador, you will gain valuable experience in external communications and content creation, as well as insight into working in the museums/heritage sector. You will also receive mileage allowance or travel expenses within agreed guidelines, free drinks at the Underfall Café, and a 10% discount on meals.
Requirements: This role is open to anyone interested in contributing their skills and experience to the community. However, we encourage applications from those with experience in social media management, content creation, and community engagement. An estimated salary range for this position is £8-12 per hour, depending on location and experience.
