About The Nia Project

The Nia project is a leading feminist organisation in East London, dedicated to supporting women and girls affected by male violence. Our mission is to provide high-quality services that empower survivors to heal and rebuild their lives.

We are seeking a highly organised and self-motivated Social Justice Advocate to join our team. As a Social Justice Advocate, you will play a vital role in providing one-to-one counselling and group therapy to survivors of sexual violence. You will also be responsible for championing the role that counselling plays in addressing social justice causes that women we support are affected by.

About the Role

  • Provide one-to-one counselling and group therapy to survivors of sexual violence
  • Champion the role of counselling in addressing social justice causes
  • Work as part of a growing feminist Rape Crisis service

About You

We are looking for a highly organised and self-motivated woman who is passionate about ending violence against women, girls and children. You will have a 'can-do' approach and demonstrable commitment to our feminist approach to supporting women and their children to be safer.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is approximately £35,000-£40,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including comprehensive training and development opportunities, a supportive and inclusive work environment, and access to ongoing supervision and support.
