Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced midwife to join our Obstetric and Gynaecology Research Team at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the successful conduct of our expanding research portfolio, working closely with senior research colleagues to manage and coordinate concurrent research studies.

Key responsibilities will include providing effective, caring, and compassionate services to patients participating in clinical research studies, completing procedures and investigations according to study protocol, and collecting and collating patient data.

The post holder will also be expected to work collaboratively with the wider multi-disciplinary team to ensure that local, national, and international research regulations are adhered to, and to champion, lead, and complete quality improvement within their role.

As a registered midwife, the post holder will also continue to retain clinical skills and credibility by maintaining their practice as per NMC guidance.

Main Duties of the Job

  • Manage and coordinate concurrent research studies
  • Provide effective, caring, and compassionate services to patients participating in clinical research studies
  • Complete procedures and investigations according to study protocol
  • Collect and collate patient data
  • Work collaboratively with the wider multi-disciplinary team
