We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Manager to lead the delivery of mechanical services installation on our Bournemouth Contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of personnel, ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of services to the required SLA, and developing strong commercial relationships to expand the offer locally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day project delivery, including delivery to client requirements, safety, quality, supplier performance, and improvement.
  • Commercial management and reporting to line managers.
  • Drive a "Safety First" and "Right First Time" culture across the field operations, backed up through plans and engagement with suppliers.
  • Manage and lead M&E field supervisors responsible for designated project.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, quality failures, and service deterioration trends, and take corrective action where necessary.
  • Identify risks to delivering the budget, supplier, and/or overhead cost impacting upon the project, and work closely with commercial to mitigate these risks.
  • Manage the operational relationship with all suppliers, ensuring that company standards are adhered to and met.
  • Deliver quality service to the client, ensuring that performance standards, contractual KPIs, and SLAs are met.
  • Carry out regular audits of staff performance and quality of work to ensure the highest standard of service and workmanship is being achieved.
  • Communicate closely and provide timely and accurate periodical reports to Contract Manager, defining project progress, problems, and solutions.

Requirements:

  • Strong planning, organisation, and monitoring abilities.
  • Previous experience of working on healthcare project delivery from a mechanical perspective.
  • Recognised Building Services Qualification - ONC / HNC in Building Services Engineering.
  • Strong experience of programme management.
  • Strong mechanical systems background to ensure full understanding of systems for installation on designated project.
  • Enhanced DBS check required due to client buildings being visited.
  • Full UK Driving License with no more than 6 points.
  • A legal right to work in the UK.
