Fintech Recruitment Solutions is delighted to be working with a well-established oil and gas service business in the Aberdeen area to find a qualified Financial Controller to join their team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual finance reports, supporting the budgeting and forecasting process, and monitoring financial performance and identifying trends and variances.

As a key member of the finance team, the Financial Controller will also assist with conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, prepare financial statements, and develop financial controls.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced accountant to join a growing finance team and contribute to the company's success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and the board of directors
  • Develop and implement financial models and forecasts to support business decision-making
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary
  • Assist with the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience in a financial controller or similar role
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
