Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Band 5 physiotherapist to join our team in the South West. As a rotational physiotherapist, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of locations, including patients' homes, outpatient clinics, and community rehab beds.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality physiotherapy services. As a rotational physiotherapist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients, managing your own patient caseload, and rotating to different clinical areas across the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as an autonomous physiotherapist practitioner, providing assessment and treatment, and managing your own patient caseload within a specialty team.
  • Rotate to different clinical areas across the region, with clear learning objectives to consolidate and build on graduate skills and academic knowledge.
  • Plan and prioritize your own workload, delegating tasks as appropriate and communicating progress with the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Supervise and train students as required.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and carers to progress treatment programmes and provide reassurance.
  • Use clinical reasoning and treatment skills to deliver personalized treatment plans based on evidence-based practice.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in line with guidelines.
Requirements
  • BSc or equivalent in Physiotherapy.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of evidence-based practice.
  • Experience of core areas of physiotherapy at student or qualified level.
  • Experience of working in the NHS.
  • Competent assessment and treatment skills with ability to recognize potentially sinister signs/symptoms and contraindications to treatment and manage appropriately.
  • Ability to adapt communication for individuals with varying communication needs.
