Main Job Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic General Practitioner to join our team in Liverpool. As a GP, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, conducting consultations, and making professional decisions in relation to presenting problems.

Key Duties
  • Conducting surgery consultations and telephone consultations
  • Visiting patients at home and checking repeat prescriptions
  • Dealing with queries, paperwork, and correspondence in a timely fashion
  • Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems
  • Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems
  • Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
  • Developing care plans for health in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols
  • Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards
  • Collecting data for audit purposes
  • Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions

Person Specification
  • Bachelor's degree in medicine (MBBS) or surgery (BMBS) that has been recognised by the General Medical Council (GMC)
