Job Summary:
Curtiss-Wright Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Material Analyst to join our Mechanical Design Engineering team. As a Material Analyst, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and qualification of critical-function machining solutions for the United States Navy and the commercial nuclear utility industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preliminary and detailed level analysis of pressure vessels, bolted joints, fasteners, and other structural components in the EMD product lines.
- Conduct ASME Code analysis and analysis to other pressure vessel and engineering codes.
- Perform fracture mechanics analysis, fatigue analysis, and other advanced mechanical analysis of commercial and government nuclear grade equipment as well as commercial process equipment.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis.
- Proficiency with hand calculations for stress analysis and machine design.
- Experience with ASME Code analysis and analysis to other structural codes.
- Thermal stress analysis experience is considered a benefit as well as commercial nuclear industry design and analysis experience.
