About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Continuity and IT Recovery Manager to join our team at Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. (AJG). As a key member of our global brokerage team, you will be responsible for promoting, supporting, and managing IT Disaster Recovery services for our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Coach the Organization: Provide guidance and support to ensure that all employees understand Business Continuity, IT Service Continuity, and Disaster Recovery theory, practices, rules, and values.
  • Plan and Implement Disaster Recovery Events: Develop and execute plans for Disaster Recovery events and implementations within the organization.
  • Advise and Assist: Provide advice, assistance, and leadership in improving the quality of Disaster Recovery by working closely with colleagues.
  • Manage Compliance: Ensure that goals, scope, and outcomes are understood by everyone on the team and manage the path to annual corporate Disaster Recovery compliance.
  • Collaborate with Business Continuity Managers: Liaise with Business Continuity Managers to coordinate, align, and harmonize Disaster Recovery processes with Business Continuity-owned practices.
  • Maintain Crisis Management Plans: Maintain IT Department Crisis Management Plans, supporting facilities, and run exercises annually.
  • Be a Key Point of Contact: Be the main point of contact for Business Continuity planning for the IT Department.
  • Ensure Competency and Effectiveness: Ensure that junior members of the IT Continuity team are competent in their work and being utilized effectively in conjunction with developing appropriate development plans.
About You
  • Extensive Experience: You have extensive experience of working with Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery environments and/or solutions.
