We are seeking an experienced IT Disaster Recovery Manager to join our global brokerage team at Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. (AJG). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for promoting, supporting, and managing IT Disaster Recovery services for our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and coach the organization in its Disaster Recovery obligations, ensuring compliance with corporate IT policies.
- Plan and implement Disaster Recovery events and activities within the organization.
- Help employees and stakeholders understand and enact Disaster Recovery practices and values.
- Stay current with the changing business and IT environment to increase the productivity of the DR Team.
- Collaborate with other Managers to enhance the effectiveness of Disaster Recovery in the organization.
- Ensure that goals, scope, and outcomes are understood by everyone on the team.
- Manage the path to annual corporate Disaster Recovery compliance by leading and coaching through completing its Disaster Recovery activities.
- Provide advice, assistance, and leadership in improving the quality of Disaster Recovery by working closely with colleagues.
- Be a key participant in the Gallagher IT community.
- Mentor, coach, and develop team members.
- Liaise with Business Continuity Managers to coordinate and align Disaster Recovery processes with Business Continuity-owned practices.
- Maintain IT Department Crisis Management Plans and support facilities.
- Be the main point of contact for Business Continuity planning for the IT Department.
- Carry out duties following internal policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, good governance, and Gallagher's shared values.
- Ensure junior members of the IT Continuity team are competent in their work and being utilized effectively.
- Extensive experience working with Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery environments and/or solutions.
