We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Head Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly small animal practice in North London.
The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of nursing, including the day-to-day running of the practice and supporting the Veterinary Surgeons in their duties.
The full-time position involves working across 4 days, with a 1 in 8 weekend shift, as well as a fair share of bank holiday and on-call duties. Weekends, bank holidays, and on-call periods will be spent at a nearby 24-hour hospital.
Our practice offers an excellent remuneration package, including salary and staff benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the nursing team and ensure the smooth operation of the practice
- Support Veterinary Surgeons in their duties and provide exceptional patient care
- Contribute to the development and implementation of practice policies and procedures
- Collaborate with the management team to achieve practice goals and objectives
Requirements:
- Experience as a Head Veterinary Nurse or similar role
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
