East Midlands, United Kingdom Breedon Group plc Full time

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team at Breedon Group plc.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned analyst to provide commercial, operational, and market intelligence to inform strategic decisions across our business. Reporting to the Business Director, you will work closely with the Senior GB Cement team to assess, understand, and forecast the impact of change, translating this knowledge into real-time business solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Market analysis and development of frameworks to measure and analyse available information, enabling data-driven decision making.
  • Customer segmentation analysis to assist sales teams in comparative profitability, highlighting areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain strategic competitor information and database, providing insights into market trends and opportunities.
  • Customer and product profitability analysis, considering full haulage recovery, change of source of supply, depot costs, and any inter-company movement, challenging the business on end-to-end margins and highlighting any slippage.
  • Develop/support the KPI dashboard for Logistics Operations, focusing on 3rd party haulage costs and Own Fleet Utilisation efficiency, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Develop database and reporting for delivery schedule vs actual deliveries, demonstrating trend analysis and forecasting capabilities.
  • Road Fleet profiling by location based on loads per day, delivery load spread, and actual fulfilment, optimising logistics operations.
  • Review inventory management and product turns, identifying opportunities for improvement and cost reduction.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analytics, with experience working with large financial platforms and data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
